Community Energy for Energy Solidarity

The Community Energy for Energy Solidarity (CEES) project was funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme, from 2021 to 2024. In CEES, six energy communities - in Croatia, England, France (2), Portugal and Scotland - implemented six pilot projects to address energy poverty. As a project that combines household energy, community action and a significant social challenge, CEES was fantastic to work on.

My main role on the project was, with Rosie Day at University of Birmingham, to lead on the evaluation of the six pilot projects. The evaluation focuses on the processes, challenges, outcomes, impacts and legacies of the six projects. You can read the evaluation reports here.

The CEES team also produced an Energy Solidarity Toolkit.
